- Marketing Plan Support & Execution:
- Assist in the development of annual brand plans, marketing calendars, and promotional strategies.
- Execute marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., digital, in-store, print, TV) in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Coordinate product launches, innovation pipeline and re-launches, ensuring timely and effective execution from concept to shelf.
- Analyze portfolio for possible optimization and continuous rationalization and reengineering for a leaner and healthier portfolio.
- Support the creation of marketing materials, packaging updates, and advertising content, ensuring brand consistency.
- Assist Category manager in developing the Seasonal calendar by fully orchestrate the 4 main seasons of Abu Auf: Ramadan, Summer, BTS and Year End.
- Develop the marketing calendar for the all categories responsible for by ensuring proper activation , consistency in their communication and content , relevant promotional calendar that will result into topline and bottom line growth as per targets set
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, consumer insights, and market opportunities.
- Analyze sales data, market share, and consumer behavior using tools like IPOS, Euromonitor or internal sales reports to track categories’ performance.
- Provide data-driven insights, post activity evaluations and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and product offerings.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in managing the marketing budget for assigned categories, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness of campaigns.
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records related to marketing activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal departments to ensure seamless execution of brand plans.
- Liaise with external partners and Agthia central teams, including advertising agencies, media agencies, Insights central team, Innovation central team and suppliers.
- Brand Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as brand awareness, sales volume, market share, and profitability.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on brand performance, campaign effectiveness, and market insights for management review.
- Innovation & Product Development Support:
- Participate in identifying and studying new product ideas based on market trends and consumer needs.
- Support the Category Manager in the new product development process, from brief creation to launch.
- Promotional Activities:
- Assist in organizing and executing promotional events, trade shows, and consumer activations.
- Ensure effective merchandising and visibility of products at the point of sale.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
- Solid understanding of marketing fundamentals, including the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze complex data (sales, market trends, consumer insights) to make informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Creative Thinking: A creative mindset with the ability to contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and product development.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Business Acumen: Basic understanding of business principles, profitability drivers, and the competitive landscape in FMCG.
- Digital Marketing Acumen: Familiarity with digital advertising tools, social media marketing, and e-commerce trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Especially strong in PowerPoint/ Canva (for presentations) and Excel (for data analysis).
- Proactive & Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a strong drive to achieve targets and deliver measurable results.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and consistency in all brand communications and materials.
Career Path: An Assistant Brand Manager typically progresses to a a Junior Brand Manager role, then potentially to a Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, or Category Manager, and eventually to more senior leadership positions such as Marketing Director or Head of Marketing within the bigger scope of Agthia.
