Job Description
Pre-Opening:- Lead the setup of all engineering and maintenance systems, including infrastructure, equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure all engineering aspects comply with brand standards and local regulations.
- Develop comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all hotel equipment and systems.
- Ensure all signage related to safety and operations is installed and compliant with Ennismore standards and local regulations.
- Train engineering team on brand-specific procedures and PM protocols.
Operational:- Manage day-to-day maintenance and engineering activities, ensuring timely repairs and minimal disruption.
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and other critical systems.
- Supervise the implementation of energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain and improve the signage program within the hotel for guest safety, information, and brand consistency.
- Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring adherence to safety standards and high-quality workmanship.
- Oversee all regulatory compliance related to building codes, safety, and environmental policies.
- Manage departmental budget, including forecasting for repairs, parts, and labor.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal liabilities and labor laws relevant to the role.
- Participate in and support internal and external audits related to the department.
- Prepare and submit accurate corporate and regulatory reports as required by Ennismore policies and local regulations.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team.
Brand Promotion:- Ensure engineering deliverables align with Ennismore’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability, contributing to the overall guest experience.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration to uphold the brand identity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering role within luxury hotels/resorts, ideally with pre-opening experience.
- Expertise in preventive maintenance, energy management, and signage compliance.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
