As the Head of Operations and Centre of Excellence for Allianz Partners in Egypt, you will play a critical role in leading the international business serviced from Egypt and the Local TPA service teams. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless delivery of services to global markets, supporting a diverse range of operations. You will deliver within a matrix structure by collaborating with global functional heads to ensure operational excellence across all sub-functional areas such as: Claims, Helpline, Medical Services, Policy Management, and Technical Support.
What you do
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Leadership & Management: Lead in a matrix structure all operational processes supporting the international and local business serviced from Egypt, ensuring excellent service delivery in line with global performance metrics, quality standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Strategic Development: Define and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency, embrace automation and AI solutions as well as drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and ensure proactive resolution of identified issues and gaps.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and updates, collaborating closely with the Regional Head of Operations MEA and other global functional leaders.
- Team Development: Promote a high-performance culture by coaching, developing and upskilling team members to meet the demands of international operations and reporting excellence.
- Change Advocacy: Champion transformation and innovation initiatives, prioritising the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, productivity and quality.
- Management Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely reporting, ensuring that operational functions have the insights required to demonstrate performance against strategic and operational objectives
What you bring
To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:
- Educational Background: Minimum of a third-level degree, with a Medical Doctor qualification preferred
- Professional Experience: Proven experience of 8 years+ in an Operations leadership role, ideally with international exposure; experience as a site lead or operations manager in a multinational company is an advantage.
- Operations Expertise: Deep understanding of operations management, process optimisation, and industry best practices, with a strong understanding of automation and AI applications. Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools is a strong plus.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, including identifying and developing talent, engaging employees, and holding teams accountable for their results.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to various audiences, including senior executives.
- Strategic Orientation: Ability to apply a long-term, big-picture perspective that supports innovation and focuses on changes that add value to the business.
- Change Management: Experience in driving change and innovation within operations functions, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, automation, and the adoption of AI solutions.
