Working as a core member of our design team, you will work on the design, development and implementation of electrical systems and components for our clients in the Oil and Gas sector.
What will you be doing?
- Lead or assist electrical engineering projects and deliver them to clients in accordance with agreed timelines and standards.
- Prepare documentation for concept, FEED or detailed design studies such as electrical schematics and layout drawings, technical reports, and more.
- Undertake electrical engineering studies to develop feasible and suitable solutions or concepts for projects.
- Perform sizing and specification studies of electrical equipment, such as motors, AHU’s, lighting, power requirement auxiliaries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues.
- Liaise with mechanical and other discipline engineers to integrate electrical components.
- Select appropriate component and materials for electrical systems to suit specific project requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, technical due diligence, equipment-related reviews and safety studies.
- Contribute to business development activity by assisting or leading in the preparation of bids and tenders.
- Generate and prospect new business leads by attending conferences, seminars, and meetings to market Longitude to prospective clients.
- Attend regular internal meetings and external/ third party meetings as required.
- Be responsible for the execution of project tasks and deliverables in accordance with quality and HSE standards.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and training to subordinates as required.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will have experience working on electrical engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector. We are also looking for the following:
- Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with significant related experience and / or training.
- Minimum 7 years’ worth of relevant professional experience.
- In depth knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards
- Experience with Software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, DIALux and SmartPlant.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies.
Further Information:
This position will be based at our office in Cairo.
You must have the right to live and work in Egypt.
You might be required to attend meetings at client sites on occasions.
