LRT Train Driver

LRT Train Driver is responsible for driving the train in a safe and punctual manner in accordance with railway rules, regulations, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Drive the LRT trains on the main Line and in the Depot.
• Ensure the safety of passengers in normal, degraded and emergency operation modes.
• Inform Traffic Controller of any incidents, accidents, or abnormalities.
• Implement safety and operating rules and procedures with respect to the Instruction.
• Deal with failures to ensure service continuity.
• Ensure stabling and unstabling trains.
• Ensure full compliance with wayside and on board signaling.
• Monitor the passengers exchange in the stations.
• Adhere to the timetable or/and instructions given by OCC or Depot Train Controllers.
• Check the safety conditions of the train before starting the service.
• Receive any required information at the beginning of his/her service.
• Respect the provisioned time for turn back movements and the scheduled departure times on terminal.
• Carry out degraded operation mods following the safety instructions and instructions from the Traffic Controllers.
• Wear the uniform and PPE during working hours.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical education (electronics – electrical, mechanical, communications).
• Preferably 7 years industrial education.

KNOWLEDGE:

• A thorough understanding of technical terms.
• Highly knowledge of public safety.

• Good command of English language

EXPERIENCE:

• Min. 1 year experience of any discipline.
• Preferred experience in railway field.
