This Position reports to:
ELDS Operations Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning of inventory, including managing sales in excess of invoicing, from purchase requisition through to customer invoicing. You will support internal customer service inquiries, set inventory parameters and targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.
You will be mainly responsible for:
- Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy. Defining inventory policies according to this segmentation.
- Calculating and maintaining in the planning systems and the ERPs the inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
- Collaborating with Buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead-time, and flexibility.
- Working with Operations Buyers and GBS to align planning of material with call offs and ensuring that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders.
- Managing MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis. Supporting cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting. Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducting root cause analysis when necessary.
- Analysing excess and obsolete/aging inventory. Taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and Procurement and Logistics.
- Working closely with other departments to improve the NWC (Net Working Capital).
- Following all ABB Ethics and OHS instructions.
- Forming and working in synergy in teams with subordinates, peers and Superior.
Qualifications for the role:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- You have SAP experience (a must).
- You have fluent spoken & written English, Arabic, and French (considered a privilege).
- You have experience using different Microsoft programs.
- Possess knowledge of the industrial sector, preferably electrical.
- You are CPIM certified (preferable).
- Possess material planning experience (considered a privilege).
- You are adept at resolving schedule conflicts, priority changes, and material shortages using a disciplined and systematic approach.
- You are able to multi-task and manage multiple tasks with efficient time management.
- You have good leadership capabilities with a team-oriented attitude.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You possess strong people management skills.
- You have strong analytical and conceptual skills
