Job Summary
The role is responsible for managing all contractual aspects of projects across their lifecycle, including reviewing and analyzing upstream contracts during the bidding stage, preparing risk assessments, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements (JVs and Consortiums), and reviewing downstream agreements such as subcontracts and supply contracts. During project execution, the role involves finalizing upstream contracts, supporting project teams with bonds and insurances, preparing and implementing contract management plans, managing upstream, downstream, and partnership agreements, handling contractual correspondence, managing changes and variations, and preparing and negotiating claims for extensions of time and additional costs. Additionally, the role oversees the preparation of meeting minutes, ensures effective communication with stakeholders, and manages project close-out, including the final settlement of claims and contractual obligations.
Desired Education and Background
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from recognized university
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience among which at least 2 years in Contract Management
- Experience in infrastructure or industrial projects
- Experience in managing projects in Consortium or Joint ventures
- Good linguistic skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to details
- Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
Language Requirements:
- Arabic & English are a must, French is a plus.
