To support Vodafone’s key strategic growth areas in the Testing Function, which require highly capable and passionate resources for specialized domains such as Digital, IoT, and Cloud Transformation. The Senior Testing Engineer will review testing strategy, build test plans, create test cases, and support testing activities. The Senior Test Lead will implement efficiencies including automation and standardization to maximize Vodafone benefits.
Leadership experience is a must. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of the Digital ecosystem (Web, API), and strong solid experience in automation selenium Java.
What you’ll do
- Will lead a small team
- Handle customer communication for testing squad
- Utilize VOIS testing methodology and comply with TMMi L3, analyzing testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios
- Design testing scenarios and test cases to demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements
- Execute tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts, and test data
- Analyze the results of the testing process and recommend solutions
- Define, identify, collect, and organize detailed information relating to testing requirements
- Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria
- Understand and use appropriate automated testing processes and tools
- Stay current on established tools, techniques, and technologies
- Support knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions and communities, improving testing collateral through lessons learned
- Participate in test plan preparation
- Distribute and assign tasks among team members
- Participate in initiatives (Telecom, BI, Mobile testing, SharePoint, Performance and Usability)
Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience
- 5-8 years working in Testing
- 1-2 years in leading
- 2 years in automation using Selenium and Java
- Strong understanding of software testing theories and procedures
- Experience in Web Testing
- Developing test automation solutions in Java and Selenium
- Automation UI Testing (locators, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XPATH)
- Telco background preferred
- Working experience with apps technology
- Experience with industry test management tools (HP ALM, Jira, VSTS [Azure])
Must-Have Technical/Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in developing test automation solutions in Selenium Java
- Leading Experience is a must
- Experience in automating build processes, application deployments, and continuous integration systems with CI/CD tools is a plus
