ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Performs structural design and analysis.
2) For Design/Build contracts, coordinates the activities of the consultant, client, and JSC in order to develop the compliant design as per the client requirements and obtain the approval of the authorities in the shortest possible time frame and within the Job estimate developed by the Estimation function.
3) Interfaces with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure the quick approval of drawings compliant with the job contract and requirements.
4) Checks and approves for the compatibility of the architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings and designs (both in-house and third party) and ensures the resolving of any incompatibilities in coordination with the relevant parties.
5) Ensures the timely delivery of updated “Issued for Construction” drawings defined by the drawing log set by Engineering Manager.
6) Manages daily interactions with authorities to ensure the quick and delay-free issuance of all required permits.
7) Prepares drawing submittal log in line with the overall project schedule in coordination with the Planning function.
8) Performs site visits as needed to compare designs with actual site practices as well as to improve knowledge of practical building practices.
9) Assists Cost Control function, as needed, in variation orders and reports the same to manager.
10) Develops and maintains a library of standard constructible details of least cost implications.
11) Checks the cladding drawings proposed by subcontractors and ensures the compatibility with project contract and specifications.
12) Reviews and verifies the subcontractor steel design and approves for fabrication after fully satisfying the design requirements.
13) Supports Tendering department by providing technical design and advice to minimize the cost to help securing projects.

Pay: E£18,000.00 - E£20,000.00 per month
