Overview of the role
As the Talent and Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for driving a high-performance culture and enhancing the overall employee experience across the organization. You will lead the execution of performance management frameworks, enhance managerial capabilities for effective and unbiased performance reviews, and collaborate with Learning & Development to develop comprehensive talent development programs. Simultaneously, you will be responsible for designing and implementing initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive and productive work environment. By focusing on both the physical and emotional aspects of our workplace, you will ensure that every employee feels valued, motivated, and supported throughout their journey with the company.
What you will do
- Lead the annual performance cycle using tools such as SAP SuccessFactors and balanced scorecards, ensuring alignment for comprehensive performance assessment.
- Implement group-level performance management frameworks within the division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Enhance managerial capabilities in delivering fair and constructive performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and feedback.
- Partner with Learning & Development to design and deliver programs in performance evaluation, feedback delivery, and leadership development.
- Identify and cultivate talent through effective succession planning initiatives aligned with divisional and group strategies.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to formulate career development plans and pathways for high-potential employees, preparing them for critical roles within the organization.
- Develop career pathing frameworks and succession plans for key job families. Lead talent management reviews to assess performance, potential, and development needs.
- Design and execute strategies that enhance employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to align on their actions related to employee experience and culture enhancement. Create engagement and recognition initiatives to boost morale, motivation, and retention.
- Work through HR Business Partners (HRBPs) for business unit-level events, ensuring adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Take the lead on organizing division-level employee engagement events to foster team spirit and camaraderie.
- Develop and promote a compelling organizational culture that aligns with our values and business objectives.
- Implement programs and activities that reinforce our culture, promote diversity and inclusion, and celebrate achievements.
- Lead internal communication efforts to ensure clarity, consistency, and connection with employees.
- Foster a culture of meaning and purpose through effective communication channels.
- Manage engagement surveys and use our employee experience platform to conduct pulse surveys and gather feedback on various aspects of employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Establish and analyse performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of performance management initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting on survey insights, performance metrics, and engagement outcomes. Monitor and support performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Ensure underperformance is addressed effectively through timely Performance Improvement Plans in collaboration with HR Business Partners.
- Collaborate closely with group Performance, Talent Management, Employee Experience and HR Business Partners within the Corporate services to align on their actions and ensure cohesive performance and talent strategies.
- Confidently engage and manage relationships with senior business stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations on performance, talent management matters, employee experience and culture matters.

- Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence, engage, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset with the capability to translate business goals into effective talent acquisition and employee experience initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong business partnering background within HR or Talent Management, with a deep understanding of business operations and strategic alignment.
- Proven success in talent development, succession planning, and cultivating a high-performance, values-driven culture.
- Extensive experience designing and executing employee engagement initiatives that drive inclusivity, boost morale, and strengthen team cohesion.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end event logistics, including budgeting and vendor management, for engagement and recognition programs.
- Track record of effective collaboration with Learning & Development and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful talent and employee experience programs.
- Proficient in leveraging data and analytics related to performance and engagement to guide strategic decision-making and improve organizational outcomes.
- Agile and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What equips you for the role
- Over 8 years of progressive experience in performance and talent management, including end-to-end ownership of the annual performance cycle, use of platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, and implementation of balanced scorecards.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-SCP/CP, SPHR, or PHR) is a strong asset.
