About the role:
The North & West Africa Country Manager is responsible for implementing the business strategies and objectives in collaboration with the divisions to drive sales and profitability growth in North & West Africa. This individual will work closely with members of his/her management team to execute the business strategies and improve market share and bottom line performance.
The scope of the role is North & West Africa and this position is based in Cairo, Egypt.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible to lead North & West Africa financial performance (including working capital) to meet financial forecasts and targets
Accountable to drive North & West Africa strategic initiatives and ensure strong support to all divisions to drive profitable growth in sales and operating incomes
Drive operational, cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives to support North & West Africa bottom-line performance, standardization and productivity
Responsible to drive and champion our engagement and value culture to keep a highly capable and engaged team in North & West Africa
Play a pivotal role in establishing strong collaboration with all business leaders to achieve all company’s objectives and support our customers
Act as the most senior leader with all functions to drive business synergies in North & West Africa across the board and take every opportunity to win in every way, everywhere
Is the main Compliance Manager and Legal Representative to ensure all company policies and regulatory compliance with local governmental bodies
Ensure the recruitment, development and retention of the right talent to build bench strengths and drive change where needed in close collaboration with regional peers
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent from a leading university
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of related business leadership experience with increasing responsibilities
Experience in managing a $ millions+ business with full P&L responsibility, ideally in Business-to-Business environments or service industry in North & West Africa
Exposure to Egypt, North Africa, Maghreb or/and North & West Africa
Previous work experience in a large multinational and highly matrixed organization
Demonstrated strategic leadership capability and ability to shape and translate a clear vision into strategies, actions and results
Strong business, finance and commercial acumen
Broad cross-functional knowledge and supply chain understanding
Proven track record of leading and building a high performing team and delivering excellent results. Have the potential to lead larger businesses in the next 3-5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master in business, finance, marketing or equivalent from a leading university
Managing government relations in Egypt and/or other North African countries
B2B commercial sales leadership experience
Extensive sales knowledge or experience
