Mission
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist the Depot Manager in the efficient operation and management of Depots and workshops. Play a crucial role in coordinating building and facilities operations to ensure optimal functionality across all Depots and workshops. The focus is maintaining the highest standards of safety, functionality, and efficiency within these spaces. Additionally, will work closely with the Building and Facilities Management Unit to ensure that its objectives align with and support the overall goals of the organization. Contribution will be vital in ensuring smooth operations and the achievement of organizational objectives.
Profile
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Assist Depot Manager in his duty and management of the Depots and workshops.
- Coordinate maintenance sub-contractors for building, cleaning, landscaping, lifts and escalators, all electromechanically operated doors e.g., roller shutter, sliding doors, boom gates, HVAC, other ventilation and cooling units etc. for the Depots and workshops.
- Coordinate the interfaces between Building and Facilities Management entities for the Depots and workshops.
- Apply planned strategy to enhance building works and facilities availability and condition to a standard that will ensure maximum operational efficiency and maintain standards of product quality and service for the Depots and workshops.
- Spread safety and environmental knowledge and rules for the Depots and workshops.
- Following up on the given tasks until the task is completely done.
- Achieve the quality and performance targets set for the NAT assets for the Depots and workshops.
- Manage, make or implement technical studies for the Depots and workshops.
- Conduct regular audits to follow up on technical objectives related to the quality and efficiency of the maintenance activities at the Depots and workshops.
- Ensure the representative of the Unit in any meeting or event related to the Depots and workshops.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings.
- Improve strategies for better workplace efficiency and KPIs achievement for the Depots and workshops.
- Follow up on the day-to-day operation to achieve the KPIs for the Depots and workshops.
- To undertake any other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficient in Build and Facilities Functions and Interfaces.
- Experienced in Maintenance Production.
- Skilled in Team Management.
- Proficient in Change Management.
- Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing.
- Well-versed in Safety Management, including OHS Acts.
- Possess Advanced Technical Knowledge.
EXPERIENCE:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Railway Industry, focusing on Maintenance.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Building and Facilities Maintenance Environment.
- Demonstrate experience in fostering a Change Management Culture
