Requirements
The digital media engineer will be responsible for performing post production media services. Primary responsibilities include video and audio pre-qualifications, media prep, QCs, and deliverables. Candidate must have a strong understanding, efficiency, and skill-set in post-production media tools such as Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Suite, and ProTools. Experience is required in working with common audio and video formats and codecs. An understanding of audio sample rates, video frame rates, and traditional multi-channel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1) is necessary. Attention to detail and a perfectionist mind-set is paramount in this role.
- Working as part of the Digital Media team to create or manipulate media (video, audio, subtitle, metadata, etc.) according to client expectations and specifications
- Utilizing various software and production tools to transform media to the appropriate spec (Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Suite, ProTools, etc.)
- Pre-processing media materials for Feature and TV shows
- Reviewing QC notes and troubleshooting
- Updating workflows according to client specifications as needed
- Continuously researching and identifying new tools and systems to enhance operational workflows
