Position: Document Controller
Organization: Orascom Sound and Light
Job Description:
The Document Controller will be responsible for the administration and control of the project documents and day-to-day procedures of the project technical team to successfully deliver the Project of revamping and managing the Sound and Light show at the Pyramids of Giza.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the project Document Control Plan.
- Agree with the CTO document ownerships and approval authorities for issuance and change.
- Check, confirm suitability of available depositories of documents (physical and electronic), and advise further document storage requirements, as necessary.
- Identify an appropriate numbering system to current and upcoming project documents and apply this system retroactively to make sure all docs are included.
- Agree with the CTO the proper distribution cycle for incoming and outgoing documents, and ensure such cycle is strictly implemented.
- Agree with the CTO rights of access for each type of documents.
- Check incoming and outgoing documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare templates for documents, file types, and document databases.
- Ensure all generated documents are well archived, electronically, and as required, physically.
- Develop and Own the Document Management of Change process, in which documents undergo proper reviews, receive designated approvals, and changes are properly identified and tracked before changes are approved.
- Suggest and agree with the CTO the document retention and disposition system in which obsolete documents are disposed and only current documents are in use.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as document controller.
- Full Awareness of document quality and control systems.
- Excellent English Language skills
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong MS office, auto cad, and photoshop skills.
- Professional Certificates in Document Control is a plus.
- Project Management Knowledge is a plus.
