JOB SUMMARY

Provides first level IT technical support for local and remote users.

JOB DUTIES

  • Set up and move workstations; repair PCs; image PCs; and troubleshoot printer problems and network connectivity issues of minimal to moderate complexity.
  • Install software, and telecommunications services such as computers, system software and hardware, and cabling.
  • Follow documented processes to conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and diagnose hardware and software problems. May replace defective components and provide technical assistance as directed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of IT asset and licensing controls for IT equipment and/or software in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Provide first level hardware, software, and/or network support to computer users using documented procedures and available tools.
  • Respond to and complete IT help tickets in a timely manner, escalating larger or more complex issues to appropriate IT staff.
  • Perform data backups and maintain an inventory of computer parts for emergency repairs.
  • When requested, assist site with facilities support, including space planning, security, safety, storage, and vendor relations.

Additional Job Duties

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma or GED certificate or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in a technical support role preferred. Relevant technical and/or certifications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills including desktop computing systems hardware and software preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding customer experience and financial objectives
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • General Profile: Entry-level position with limited prior training or relevant work experience.
  • Acquires basic skills via on-the-job training and coaching to perform routine tasks. Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy. Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.

  • Business Expertise/Acumen: Understands how the assigned duties integrate with others in the team.
  • Leadership: Has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Uses communication skills and common courtesy.
