Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an English Teacher at Royal Canadian School located in New Cairo. The English Teacher main responsibility is to facilitate the learning of English language skills while following the Prince Edward Island for English as a core subject, including creating lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents, according the school set policies..
Key Responsibilities are to:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Deliver effective instruction, provide constructive feedback to students, and monitor their progress.
- Design and administer various assessments and assignments to evaluate student learning.
- Maintain a positive and effective learning environment, manage student behavior, and create a safe space for learning.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff about student progress and any concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and resources, and participate in professional development opportunities.

- Provide individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop students' abilities in reading, writing, and communication, including grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluent English language and literature: Near native Level Reading, Speaking, and Writing,with a near native accent
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide effective feedback.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behavior.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles, and to provide individualized support.
- Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- Bachelor's degree in English Education, or related field
- Teaching certification is a plus
- Certification in Teaching English as Second Language is a plus
- Experience in teaching English as a second language
- Minimum three years experience in teaching English
