Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Helpdesk and Network Configuration Technician to provide technical support and maintain network systems, including CCTV and NVR configurations. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring the smooth operation of network configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist in the configuration and installation of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Configure and manage CCTV systems and NVRs, ensuring proper operation and storage of video feeds.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory or similar systems.
- Document technical procedures and user manuals for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement system updates and upgrades.
- Conduct regular maintenance and backups of network and server configurations.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in network management and CCTV systems.
- Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and OSI model.
- Familiarity with network configuration tools and software.
- Experience with operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CCTV and NVR systems, including installation and configuration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
