Job Purpose
lead and manage all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, and company policies. The role focuses on minimizing operational risks, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a culture of safety and quality across all departments.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with local laws and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards.
- Monitor environmental performance (waste management, emissions, resource usage) and ensure sustainability initiatives are implemented.
- Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory HSE requirements; liaise with government agencies when required.
- Develop and deliver HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Prepare monthly and annual HSE performance reports and recommend improvement actions.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with established procedures and recommend process improvements
- Oversee quality control processes at various stages of production/service delivery to ensure standards are met.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and training records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 45001/14001 certifications).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in HSE and Quality roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing ISO-based management systems.
