Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Indoor RF Designer for Repeater Systems to join our team. This position requires a versatile RF engineer who can lead the design of indoor repeater systems, supervise RF surveys, oversee installation, and troubleshoot network issues post-deployment. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with DAS, IBS, and RF repeater technologies, as well as strong practical knowledge of tools like iBwave, spectrum analyzers, and network surveying tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee site surveys.
- Create RF designs for indoor coverage using equivalent tools.
- Define equipment requirements and quantities: repeaters, antennas, couplers, splitters, and cabling.
- Ensure optimal equipment placement and RF distribution for coverage and isolation.
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Supervise on-site installation
- Respond to and resolve issues reported from the field.
- Troubleshoot network issues post-deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, or related field.
- 0–3 years of hands-on experience in DAS, IBS, or RF repeater system design and deployment.
- Proficiency with iBwave Design, or similar planning tools.
- Solid understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G RF fundamentals.
- Experience with RF test tools (spectrum analyzer, cable/antenna analyzer, scanner).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with popular repeater brands.
- Knowledge of RF link budgets and system gain/loss calculations.
- Certification in iBwave or similar RF design platforms.
