Summary of the role:
The Project architect will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept through completion, working on designing innovative and functional spaces, while ensuring compliance with local and international codes, budgets, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design and documentation process for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout all phases of the project.
- Develop schematic designs, design development, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and project specifications.
- Review and redline drawings, ensuring quality control and constructability.
- Oversee permitting, bidding, and construction administration activities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Mentor architects and junior staff and contribute to the development of office standards and processes.
- Researching and maintaining knowledge of various engineering disciplines, application methods, and materials.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- 6-10 years of professional experience in the architecture field, with a focus on high-end projects, including experience in commercial Master planning projects.
- Demonstrable portfolio with a strong experience in delivering high end luxury projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and workflows.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of other BIM tools and software such as; Navisworks, BIM 360, ACC, and Dynamo.
- Excellent command in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office; knowledge of Rhino, or Enscape is a plus.
- Knowledge of inter-disciplinary coordination.
- Familiarity with project management tools and platforms.
- Excellent in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of KSA & UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization, Documentation and time management skills
- Strong multitasking abilities, with a high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of RIBA Stages of Work/ Design stages.
Working conditions and Environment:
- The position is an office based in New Cairo, Egypt.
- The position has no international business travel requirements.
