ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:　

• The ability to supervise, train and motivate purchasing/ receiving department employees and thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities

• The ability to ensure that the department works closely with all operation depts,  to purchase the highest quality products while constantly searching for the lowest price 

• The ability to supervise the day to day functions of the receiving clerk

• The ability to ensure all items received by the hotel are properly documented in accordance with Four Seasons purchasing and receiving procedures 

• The ability to ensure that all storage areas are secure, clean and properly organized 

• The ability to coordinate the corporate annual operating equipment and supply requirements with the corporate purchasing department and the appropriate hotel department heads

• The ability to coordinate purchases related to capital projects with the corporate purchasing department as well as outside contractors

• The ability to conduct frequent quality control audits to ensure staff is properly trained and following established procedures

• The ability to conduct self in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels and encourage staff to do the same

• The ability to open and examine incoming correspondence, re-routing mail when appropriate and gather data necessary for response.

• The ability to ensure proper and correct communication between the purchasing/ receiving staff and other staff.

• The ability to maintain files

• The ability to maintain a cordial and professional environment with all visitors and co-workers & Vendors at all times

• The ability to understand the specifications on all food, beverage and operational equipment supplies

• The ability to understand Four Seasons quality and establish an eye for details

• The ability to conduct frequent quality control audits on suppliers to ensure that they are in strict compliances with health code regulations

• The ability to perform any additional duties as assigned
