The R2R Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting by managing closing activities, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits in compliance with accounting standards.
About youMain Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in accordance with company policies and timelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other finance functions (AP, AR, FP&A) to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules, if applicable.
- Participate in ad hoc financial projects and analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in R2R or general accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
