Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Architectural Draftsman to produce accurate technical drawings and construction documents based on design concepts and specifications. The ideal candidate should be proficient in CAD and BIM software and capable of working independently while collaborating with remote teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details from rough sketches or design concepts.
- Convert conceptual designs into detailed construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning laws, and project standards.
- Update drawings based on client feedback, redlines, and design revisions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to coordinate drawings and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of project drawings and revisions using cloud storage or document control platforms.
- Participate in virtual design reviews and team meetings.
- Assist in preparing presentation drawings or 3D models if needed.
- Stay up to date with drafting standards, construction methods, and material knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any field.
- 3 to 6+ years of experience in architectural drafting (remote experience preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of building construction, codes, and technical standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow design intent.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines independently.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a capable workstation.
