Job Objective
The Senior Civil Maintenance Engineer ensures the structural integrity and safe operation of all civil and architectural assets at the plasma donation center. This includes oversight of buildings, site infrastructure (e.g., paving, drainage, pathways), clean rooms, walls, floors, plumbing systems, and fixed civil installations. The role combines hands-on leadership, technical expertise, regulatory compliance (GMP, health & safety), and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, assess, and maintain all building structures, including walls, ceilings, roofs, foundations, partitions, and floors

Oversee repair, refurbishment, and preventive maintenance of civil elements including masonry, finishes, doors/windows, and controlled environment surfaces

Maintain external infrastructure such as site drainage, walkways, pavements, parking areas, fences, gates, and landscaping interfaces
-
Ensure safety and compliance with local civil codes during rebuilding or patching of external and internal surfaces
-
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams on shared infrastructure (e.g., equipment pads, trenches, raised flooring)

Support installation and modification of heavy equipment requiring civil anchoring, vibration isolation, or containment structures

Lead the civil scope of facility renovations, expansions, upgrades, or new construction projects

Plan and manage civil engineering scopes including budgeting, scheduling, contractor supervision, and quality control

Ensure all civil works comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, accessibility standards, and GMP

Prepare and maintain detailed records such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, risk assessments, and audit documentation

Conduct regular inspections, safety checks, and civil maintenance audits

Develop preventive maintenance plans and inspection schedules for civil infrastructure assets

Track the condition of civil assets and initiate work orders to avoid operational disruptions

Supervise and mentor civil technicians, subcontractors, and specialists

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Safety, Operations) to prioritize maintenance needs

Respond promptly to structural emergencies (e.g., roof leaks, water ingress, floor damage) to ensure business continuity

Create contingency plans and quick-response protocols for critical civil failures
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Experience
-
810 years of progressive experience in civil maintenance or facility engineering, preferably in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare)

Proven experience managing site infrastructure, structural inspections, and civil project execution

Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and methods: concrete, masonry, roofing, waterproofing, partitions, and clean room finishes

Familiarity with GMP environments and cleanroom requirements

Working knowledge of building codes, structural safety standards, and local civil regulations
Technical Skills

Proficiency in CMMS tools (e.g., SAP PM), AutoCAD or technical drawing review, and Microsoft Office
