RocketDevs is looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack PHP Laravel Developer to join our growing global engineering network. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in designing, building, and scaling full stack web applications using modern PHP and JavaScript frameworks. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply engineering best practices, and contribute to building efficient, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

- Communication: Microsoft Teams (async-first)
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Laravel and Nuxt.js/Vue
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to implement robust, user-friendly solutions
- Follow modern software development principles like TDD, SOLID, DRY, and YAGNI
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Work closely with designers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure product quality and timelines
- Integrate APIs, third-party services, and backend business logic
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel
- Solid experience with Nuxt.js or Vue.js
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, MVC architecture, and RESTful APIs
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using TDD practices
- Deep understanding of SOLID principles, DRY, and pragmatic software engineering
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows (GitLab preferred)
- Ability to work independently in an async communication setup
- Comfortable with agile, remote-first teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments
- Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub profile
