Senior Programme Associate, Migrant Protection

  Context

Under the overall supervision of Head of the Protection Department (PXD) and under the direct supervision of the Protection (PX) Program Manager, the Senior Programme Associate (MigrantProtection, (DA & Reporting)) will be responsible for the delivery of the localised direct assistance (DA) services to stranded and vulnerable migrants. This role involves supporting the implementation of related activities and monitoring regular quantitative and qualitative reports on
progress and outcomes.

1- Provide technical support to the Direct Assistance team in operational activities such as screening vulnerable migrants, delivering non-food items (NFI), cash-based
interventions (CBI), and administrative support in legal and medical matters, and community outreach. Verify that monitoring and reporting mechanisms are in place, in
close collaboration with the M&E Assistant and Protection Program Manager.
2- Supervise the Direct Assistance team, support budget allocation and daily operations including case management, data handling, and reporting. Verify that all activities

3. frames, and internal regulations, working closely with relevant support units (HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, PSU, M&E).
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on operational status and activity implementation. Assist in the development of standardized reporting tools to identify trends and highlight operational or financial challenges impacting implementation, promoting transparency and actionable insights.
4. Contribute to accurate data collection and analysis, including data entry into the MiMOSA system. Suggest improvements for data collection tools (e.g., KOBO) in coordination with PSU, M&E, and the PX Program Manager to enhance data quality and reliability.
5. Support the development of procedures, policies and protocols on direct assistance and reporting as necessary in coordination with PXD colleagues, in line with the PXD objectives and IOM Egypt mission strategy, as advised by the PX Program Manager.
6. Support the planning, organization and facilitation of workshops, trainings, and field visits for key stakeholders, donors and IOM counterparts from sending missions, as advised by the PX Program Manager and in coordination with relevant support units within the IOM Egypt (PSU, M&E, Communications, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
7. Prepare briefs and information material visibility actions in close coordination with the Communication and PSU for official gatherings and initiatives, as advised by the PX Program Manager.
8. Identify key achievements and information for dissemination, working closely with the PSU, Communications Unit, and Protection Program Manager to ensure strategic communication of results.
9. Support the drafting of reports related to direct assistance components, in close coordination with the Project Support Unit and of new project proposal, budget consumption forecast and contingency plans as advised by the Protection Program Manager.
10. Undertake duty travels if required.
11.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
