Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Protection Expert with engineering expertise in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems, covering Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and Extra High Voltage (EHV) networks. The ideal candidate will lead and execute advanced protection and control engineering tasks, panel design, and system integration for critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Panel Engineering & Design:- Design control, protection, and SAS panels for Line, Transformer, Busbar, and Bus-coupler applications.
- Develop base and detailed schematics, including Bill of Materials, Connection Diagrams, and Connection Lists.
- Protection Systems & Relay Configuration:
- Select and specify appropriate protection relays based on technical requirements and tender phase evaluations.
- Configure and prepare CID and SCL files for Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).
- Deep familiarity with Schneider Electric relays including Sepam, Micom, Vamp, and Power Logic series.
- Power System Studies:
- Conduct CT/VT adequacy calculations and system studies to ensure optimal protection coordination.
- Software & Protocols:
- Utilize EPLAN for panel design and documentation.
- Integrate systems using communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, and IEC 61850.
- Project Coordination & Client Engagement:
- Attend technical meetings with clients and factories to align specifications and resolve engineering challenges.
- Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, and delivery teams to ensure timely execution of project milestones.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), oversee required modifications, and verify schematic accuracy.
- Leadership & Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in protection design, CT/VT calculations, relay configuration, and panel engineering.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in T&D engineering.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- English Fluency is a must
