About The Role:
The Senior Scrum Master is a servant leader and Agile coach responsible for guiding multiple Scrum teams toward high performance and continuous improvement. This role ensures adherence to Agile principles, facilitates Scrum ceremonies, and removes impediments to enable successful delivery of high-quality products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure all Scrum events occur and are productive
Coach and Mentor Teams
- Promote Agile values and principles
- Support team self-organization and cross-functionality
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and team members
Remove Impediments
- Identify and eliminate blockers to team progress
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve external dependencies
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between Product Owners, developers, and business units
- Ensure backlog is well-groomed and prioritized
Continuous Improvement
- Use metrics (velocity, burndown charts) to track progress
- Facilitate retrospectives to identify and implement improvements
Agile Scaling & Transformation
- Support Agile adoption across departments
- Lead Scrum maturity workshops and transformation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years in Agile environments, with 2+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to foster team accountability and continuous improvement.
