About the Client:
Join one of Egypt’s premier financial institutions, renowned for its extensive suite of banking services, including Institutional Banking, Personal Banking, and Islamic Banking. With a global presence through over 50 branches and correspondents, they serve a diverse and dynamic clientele. As part of their ongoing digital and infrastructure transformation journey, the bank is scaling its core banking support teams to ensure 24/7 system reliability, performance, and innovation.
Role Overview:
We’re hiring a Senior T24 Application Support Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting the Temenos T24 core banking system in live environments. The ideal candidate has strong expertise across AA, FT, LD, and other key modules, with proficiency in both functional troubleshooting and technical analysis (COB, Enquiries, OFS, jBASE). You will be responsible for resolving critical incidents, supporting daily operations, and ensuring system stability across all environments.
This is a hybrid role (1–3 days onsite/week) based in New Cairo, with USD-based compensation and a 1-year contract through Xenon7.
✅ Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/3 production support for Temenos T24 and related integrations.
- Monitor COB (Close of Business), batch operations, and system health checks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot functional and technical issues in T24 modules (AA, FT, LD, MM, etc.).
- Collaborate with business teams to understand user issues and provide resolution or escalation.
- Investigate and debug jBASE/InfoBasic code, OFS messages, and performance logs.
- Log and manage incidents in ITSM systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
- Coordinate with Temenos and third-party vendors for patching, hotfixes, and issue resolution.
- Participate in DR drills, COB testing, patch deployments, and environment refreshes.
- Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain documentation for incident resolutions and support procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of T24 application support experience in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of T24 core modules: FT, AC, AA, LD, MM, ST, Customer.
- Experience with jBASE, InfoBasic, COB routines, Versions, Enquiries, OFS, and TAFJ platforms.
- Familiarity with browser-based T24 versions and integration APIs (IRIS, MQ, SOAP).
- Competency with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of ITIL principles, incident & change management.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to be on-call during COB/EOD operations and emergencies.
- Background in banking operations (retail, corporate, or Islamic banking) is a plus.
