JOB PURPOSE:
To oversee the daily operations of multiple sites, ensuring all contractor and in-house activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, while fostering continuous improvement and collaboration across teams.
Profile
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Multi-Site Logistics & Operations Management
- Oversee logistics operations across depots and train stations, including inventory, warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure timely supply of parts, tools, PPE, and consumables to support maintenance and operational teams.
- Monitor delivery accuracy, material flow, and depot readiness.
Fleet, Equipment & Calibration Management
- Oversee company vehicle allocation, usage, and maintenance across sites.
- Implement calibration programs for depot tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain calibration records and support audits and inspections.
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Lead safety tours and inspections across depots and stations to identify hazards and reinforce safety practices.
- Ensure all operations comply with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and regulatory requirements.
- Integrate safety findings into performance reviews and continuous improvement plans.
Waste & Environmental Management
- Implement waste management strategies in line with the Waste Management Hierarchy.
- Oversee segregation, collection, recycling, and disposal of passenger, industrial, and hazardous waste.
- Track waste KPIs, promote sustainable practices, and liaise with environmental authorities for compliance.
Vehicle & Fuel Usage Oversight
- Manage company vehicle readiness, servicing, and operational allocation.
- Monitor diesel tank usage, implement fuel tracking systems, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and procurement teams to align schedules and resources.
- Engage with suppliers, contractors, and regulators to ensure consistent operational standards.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Drive lean logistics and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Support integration of asset management platforms for improved operational control.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop civil, warehouse, and logistics teams across multiple sites, promoting safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and high-performance culture across all locations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of logistics, asset management, and safety systems.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and regulatory compliance in rail/transport sectors.
- Awareness of maintenance operations and depot infrastructure requirements.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in multi-site operational management, preferably in rail, metro, or large-scale industrial environments.
- Proven track record in logistics, safety leadership, and stakeholder coordination.
