Mission
JOB PURPOSE:
The Supervisory System Technician is responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance activities related to control systems in electromechanical equipment. This includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems, wiring devices, and optimizing system performance. The role also involves implementing process improvements, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Profile
Control Systems Management:
- Maintain and manage control systems MCP for electromechanical equipment, including wiring and connecting control devices, sensors, actuators, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels for automated operations.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot control system malfunctions using electrical and mechanical expertise, diagnostic tools, and software utilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, calibration, and software updates to ensure the reliability and performance of control systems.
- Optimize system parameters, tuning settings, and feedback mechanisms to improve efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Process Improvements and Documentation:
- Implement process improvements and automation upgrades to enhance productivity, quality, and safety in electromechanical systems.
- Maintain precise documentation of control system configurations, wiring diagrams, programming code, and troubleshooting procedures.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical technical training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems.
KNOWLEDGE:
- General technical knowledge relevant to maintenance.
- Proficiency in team management.
- Knowledge of railway systems (optional).
EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience in electrical and automation maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with automation diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Minimum of five years of practical experience in the field.
