About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Lead to oversee and drive the quality assurance efforts for a critical project focused on API testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, particularly in API-level validations, and will play a key role in leading a testing team, designing a comprehensive test strategy, and ensuring delivery excellence.
As a part of your job, you will:
- Lead a team of QA engineers through all phases of testing for a project involving API integrations
- Design and implement a comprehensive test strategy, aligned with project goals and system architecture.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases for RESTful and/or SOAP APIs.
- Monitor test execution, track defects, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Drive test automation initiatives where applicable
- Ensure proper test coverage, defect tracking, and timely reporting of test results.
What are we looking for?
- Expertise in API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a distributed testing team

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role
- Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams, and clients.
- Strong team leadership, with a balance of autonomy and collaboration.
- Comfortable working on international projects; open to occasional travel if needed.
- Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and business audiences.
- Strong interest in continuous improvement and sharing of best practices within the team.
