Job Purpose
To plan and implement Fixed Transmission planning plans and procedures to ensure the network has the necessary fixed Transmission requirements on time to achieve site rollout, network optimization & availability.

Plan & Introduce the SDH solution in Etisalat Core & Regional Network in order to serve core & IP backbone network transmission. Audit the core and regional transmission network and issue long term plans to effectively use the ADM products to ensure network optimization that will result in departmental CAPEX & OPEX savings. Process E1’s cable, STM-1’s ordering, rerouting & cancelling for the purpose of new access sites rollout, new nodes introduction at the Core nodes sites, for the connections between Etisalat and Telecom Egypt, Vodafone & Mobinil to align with departmental business plan for wide network coverage. Tackle & study the roadmap of the current vendors’ equipment and other vendors in the market to provide new solutions with a state of the art technology with a successful business case in order to align with departmental goals and strategies. Issue and update the regular reports of the fixed transmission network briefing the main issues for the different projects, the achievements and the concerns as well as network database update in order to keep upper management updated by raising flag for any issue that may disturb the running projects to meet their deadlines. Supervise new core project management in order to ensure proper implementation of the tasks starting from acquisition, civil, telecom installation and power readiness and ending with ensuring smooth handover to EOT and O&M teams. Audit the warehouse for fixed transmission nodes delivery orders to ensure its effectiveness. Conduct fixed transmission new technology and strategic decisions to ensure Etisalat synchronization with the newest technologies that fulfill Etisalat requirements of availability, OPEX saving and compatibility with new services. Process fixed transmission new nodes orders and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) revision to match Etisalat forecast requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
University degree in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering. Minimum 4 to 6 years Experience. Experience in SDH transmission networks is a must. Excellent Computer skills, Advanced MS Excel. Excellent in Arabic & English (Reading, Writing & Oral).
