What you'll be doing
The Airport Floor Manager drives commercial excellence and passenger experience across Cairo Airport's duty-free operations. This role integrates strategic leadership, team development, and compliance oversight to maximize profitability in a 24/7 airport environment. The manager ensures seamless coordination between floor operations, terminal-wide strategy, and stakeholder partnerships while upholding Chalhoub Group’s luxury standards and duty-free regulations.
What you’ll need to succeed
Operational Excellence :
- Oversee end-to-end stock replenishment, ensuring customs compliance and minimizing airside delays
- Enforce retail SOPs, loss prevention protocols, and duty-free regulations (e.g., purchase limits, passport checks).
- Manage crisis response for flight disruptions/security incidents to minimize retail downtime.
- Validate daily reports (sales, stock losses) and escalate systemic issues.
- Stock accountability and adjustment with accurate records.
Commercial Performance & Strategy:
- Own terminal P&L, achieving revenue targets through flight-schedule-linked sales plans.
- Optimize space planning and visual merchandising within airport spatial/security constraints
- Drive omnichannel initiatives (e.g., click-and-collect, pre-flight ordering) to enhance passenger spend.
- Analyze sales data, footfall patterns, and passenger demographics to adjust strategies in real-time.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead retail/floor managers, optimizing staff allocation during peak travel seasons/flight waves.
- Implement succession planning and talent development using Chalhoub University resources.
- Approve shift schedules, leave, and performance evaluations for terminal teams.
- Foster resilience in high-pressure environments through on-the-job coaching.
Passenger Experience (CX) :
- Resolve escalated complaints (refunds, loyalty redemptions) with cross-functional coordination.
- Personalize services for diverse passenger nationalities and travel purposes.
- Promote MUSE loyalty programs and duty-exclusive app offers to transit passengers.
- Capture passenger data for travel retail analytics and journey mapping.
Stakeholder & Compliance Management :
- Liaise with airport authorities, airlines, customs, and border control agencies.
- Coordinate with merchandising/logistics for cross-terminal stock transfers.
- Ensure compliance with health policies, security training, and duty-free documentation.
- Manage back-office integration for customs processes and stock reconciliation.
Technology & Innovation :
- Leverage passenger flow data to optimize staffing/promotional placements.
- Deploy terminal-specific omnichannel hubs (e.g., centralized click-and-collect)
