Main Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Mitigation Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing strategies to manage and mitigate risks associated with railway projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and various stakeholders to ensure that risks are effectively identified, assessed, and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. The Mitigation Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing project resilience and ensuring compliance with Colas Rail's standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies tailored to each railway project.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities early in the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate risk assessment workshops and brainstorming sessions with team members to encourage a proactive risk management culture.
- Monitor the effectiveness of mitigation strategies and make necessary adjustments based on project progress and emerging risks.
- Maintain and update the Risk Register and ensure all mitigation actions are documented and tracked.
- Prepare and present regular reports on risk mitigation efforts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Work closely with safety and compliance teams to ensure all mitigation measures adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to project team members on risk awareness and mitigation practices.
- Uphold and promote Colas Rail's Code of Ethics, ensuring high standards of ethical behavior in all aspects of work.
Qualification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or project management within the rail or construction industry.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
