PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Coordinate all actions leading to the final deployment of Mechanical/Electrical field modifications on customer sites.
- Implement modifications on the Rolling Stock units in order to enhance its reliability.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Key accountabilities:
- Implementation of modifications according to the modification file following state-of-art and best practice
- Verify of field modification files including test procedure (complete, availability, validation)
- Ensure validity and certification of relevant tools
- Coordinate and ensure timely deployment (and optimization of train downtime) of all modification in collaboration with the Project management, PI and the customer
- Ensure deployment of the field modification to all relevant components and parts including consignment stock and capital spares, where applicable
- Populate relevant modification follow-up data base
- Support PrPIM in all field modification related matters
- Guarantee information flow within the field modification team
- Ensure data management & update regarding FM are reported in the relevant tools
- Perform quality self-control to Ensure PI processes are respected
- Respect EHS rules and any work-related processes
Performance measurements:
- Availability of Rolling Stock after field modification deployment
- Respect and Compliance with EHS rules and work-related processes
- Respect of timeframe for modification implementation
- Customer acceptance and quality level of implemented modification
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Certified Technician or Undergraduate in technical area (mechanical or electrical/electronics)
- Minimum IT knowledge
- Internal EHS training
- Railway and Rolling Stock knowledge
Desirable:
- Graduate in technical area (mechanical or electrical/electronics)
- Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)
Experience
Mandatory:
- Several years experience Technical knowledge, either mechanical or electrical / electronics in customer depot & warehouse environment
- Understanding and experience with Logistics issues
- Field Experience
- EHS knowledge and exposure
- General railway and Product knowledge
- Capacity to analyze supply contracts
- Team management (if applicable)
Desirable:
- Engineering knowledge
- Customer contact
- Transparent communication and interrelation skills
- Easy supplier contacts
Competencies & Skills
- Team oriented with the ability to work independently
