Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Strategy and Planning Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for crafting and driving robust sales strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives. As the head of key subfunctions—including Trade Marketing, Business Development, Route-to-Market (RTM), and Customer Service— this role drives cross-functional collaboration, decision-making through data insights, and ensures alignment with Bel’s vision. This position bridges the gap between sales, marketing, and supply chain, ensuring seamless execution of strategies while driving growth and profitability.
The position focuses on elevating Bel's market presence, driving efficiencies, enhancing customer satisfaction, and increasing profitability across consumer touchpoints with the ambition of growing Bel’s iconic brands across the BU (Egypt and Libya)
Main Accountabilities:
- Oversee trade marketing to design impactful retail promotions, amplify product visibility across customer touchpoints, and ensure optimized trade spend ROI.
- Build collaborative and custom programs with retail and distribution partners to drive incremental sales and boost brand equity in the market.
- Define and implement innovative merchandising strategies to ensure Bel brands achieve enhanced shelf visibility, share of space, and compliance with agreed planograms.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual and strategic business targets
- Continuously refine RTM models to balance cost efficiency and market penetration.
- Identify and seize new market opportunities, fostering partnerships and building e-commerce and emerging retail channels.

- Lead product launch strategies, ensuring alignment with RTM plans
- Ensure implementation of shopper marketing programs and merchandising strategies in retail environments.
- Build and manage outstanding customer service teams and processes, with a focus on KPIs (On-Time and In-Full delivery), customer feedback incorporation, and satisfaction optimization.
Qualifications and experience:
- 8+ years of experience in sales strategy, business planning, trade marketing or FMCG sales.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree specializing in Strategy or Marketing.
- Experience in Demand Forecasting and S&OP frameworks
- Expertise in strategic sales planning, and trade marketing execution.
- Strong knowledge of Route-to-Market strategies across modern trade, traditional trade, and emerging channels.
- Proficiency with sales analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems like Salesforce or SAP.
- Advanced customer service operations expertise, with experience leading teams and improving service KPIs.
