Overview of the role

As an (O2C) Accountant in Group Finance Shares Service Centre (FSSC) and will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of the O2C function whilst complying with organization’s policies and procedures and ensuring necessary checks and balances to mitigate risks


What you will do

  • Timely O2C partnering support to Business in day-to-day operations.
  • Customer analysis & reconciliation.
  • Receiving customer’s cheques and matching them regarding amount, date.
  • Analyse ledgers and accounts to allow the reconciliation of financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within legislative time limits.
  • Perform assigned month end book closing tasks within O2C.
  • Review and post O2C related entries and any other O2C activities assigned from time to time

Required Skills to be successful

  • Analytical as well as Process oriented, be vigilant to identify and flag risks in the day-to-day activities
  • Excellent communication skills, to ensure that all issues related to O2C are resolved in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Detail-oriented and organized and be able to provide meaningful analysis and data that would trigger appropriate action.
  • Be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn & support the O2C Team and Tower head in the various activities and initiatives within the O2C function.

What equips you for the role

  • Finance Graduate or Semi-qualified or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years similar experience, with a good knowledge of ERP systems (ex: SAP, YARDI, AS400, etc.).
  • Good accounting knowledge (IFRS knowledge is preferred).
  • Knowledge of Excel, Power Point and other Microsoft office tools.
