Role Purpose
This role will be responsible for establishing an end-to-end agile culture within the of all the Agile population in addition to proper establishment for the transformation needs across the agile community. You will be a part of the portfolio management domain leading & establishing an agile environment. You will work closely with Agile coaches, scrum masters, and tribe leads on effectively following the agile best practices & principles.
Role Profile
- Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating agile cross-program risks and issues, to facilitate on-time delivery of capabilities Accountabilities, Competencies & KPIs
- Structure new squads/tribes based on business demand
- Keep monitoring agile tribes’ utilization to ensure maximum efficiency
- Manage & Govern rotation exercise in all managed tribes
- Work with agile tribes to deliver their outcome by being the technology support function & escalation point to deliver squad/tribe outcome.
- Work on transformation of remaining business areas to Agile
- Support the mind-set change & culture shift through different activities
- Monitor and optimize agile processes and practices
- Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and team learning
- Creating and organizing new projects on the JIRA platform, as well as configuring the layout, design, workflow, and dashboard
- A deep understanding of the strengths of different Agile approaches and when they should be used e.g. Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Experience of working in fast paced digital environments, along with a well-rounded understanding of product and proposition development
- Take E2E ownership and accountability of establishing agile values, methods, principles & practices for the delivery.
Core Competencies & Qualifications
- B.Sc. in communication /computer engineering or computer science
- Hands-on experience in agile transformation. SAFe knowledge is a must.
- Project management experience including reporting and process management is a must.
- Broad understanding of telecom and IT applications as well as business areas is a plus
- 8+ years of experience, at least 5 of them in agile IT transformation.
- Must have several years of proven hands-on experience in managing projects in agile environments as project manager or scrum master.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and team building skills; articulate and able to steer a meeting with presence.
- Ability to maintain calm attitude during difficult situations and handle pressure situations.
- Experience in maintaining and reporting against relevant metrics (i.e. burn down and velocity, risks, timelines, etc.). in a timely manner.
- Self-starter & self-motivated with a drive to identify opportunities for improvement across the agile delivery processes.
- Highly independent, takes ownership, does not need to be told what to do and seeks feedback and execute actions.
- Strong belief in Agile/Lean working practices and experience of coaching at all levels, from delivery team to senior management
- Jira hands on experience
- Excellent communication, presentation & reporting skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Proven track record of managing complex software projects with agile methodology.
