Position Title:
Sensory & Packaging Specialist
Main Purpose of Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sensory & Packaging Specialist to join our team at 6th October factories, The Sensory & Packaging Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Sensory & Packaging systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and food safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

- People and know-how:
Promote quality awareness by delivering training for their specific areas of expertise e.g. relevant standards and guidelines.
- System design:
Define and update the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are directly related to their area of concern and implement Nestle quality instructions.
- Quality mastership:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the Nestle quality management system in accordance with internal/external standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality, Food Safety and internal management systems procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and food safety.
- Lead and coordinate the consumer complaint management in the factories with a proper handling of non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in quality and food safety processes.
- Train and educate employees on quality management system procedures, standards, and practices that is related to her/his area of expertise
- Support regulatory inspections and customer audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Drive root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, providing regular updates to management.
- Ensure support to any new product development and engage with the business teams to have the updated Quality & Food Safety requirements
- Support in Packaging and raw materials daily releases when needed
- Ensure compliance to Sensory and Packaging related standards, communicated updates from zone or market, share the action plan required and follow up on closure
- Keeping Quality plan creation/update and ensure compliance through execution follow up with the laboratory team
- Participate and assess new products introduced in Technical release and ensure new SKUs retention samples are archived for reference and another samples retained for KQT study and update KQT plan accordingly, TA coordinator ensure (collecting the TA Documents, Communication & Archiving them for any historical data required or Audit purposes & ensure accessibility for all QA team.
- Annual review of packaging QMS, ensure compliance to the relevant standards and legal updates and follow up on execution with the laboratory team
- Plan with packaging team the surveillance plan, send/support sending the surveillance plan to NQAC
- Perform any other duty/tasks assigned to him/her from time to time as per the business needs.
Key Experiences:
Academic Experience:
- Bachelor Degree of Food Science, Pharmacy or Agriculture (preferred food engineering)
- Certified Lead Auditor in quality certifications is recommended
Operational Experience:
- 2- 4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated competence in their specific field to support business requirements:
- Team member in a factory: Quality, Production Support, Application Group
- Team member in the quality department of the Market, PTC/R&D,Centre, NRC, NQACs
Business Experience:
- Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs:
- Participating in project teams
- Leading part of a change effort
- Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects
- Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories
