Project & Development Services - MENA

JLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.

We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.

The Role

The Assistant Planning Manager for Project Development Services (PDS) in Egypt will support the planning and execution of construction and development projects. This role involves coordinating project schedules, tracking progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing strategies to keep projects on track while working closely with the project management team to deliver successful outcomes for clients.

What this job involves

• Creating, maintaining and updating detailed project schedules using industry-standard software.
• Monitoring project progress against established timelines and milestones.
• Identifying potential scheduling conflicts and developing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and vendors to align delivery schedules.
• Preparing regular progress reports for internal teams and clients.
• Supporting the development of resource allocation plans.
• Assisting with critical path analysis and schedule optimization.
• Contributing to risk management by identifying schedule-related risks.
• Participating in project meetings to provide planning and scheduling updates.
• Collaborating with the cost management team to align schedules with budget forecasts.

Desired skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project controls.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with Egyptian building codes and construction practices preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to schedule management.
• Knowledge of BIM software is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
