Requirements and responsibilities
we’re looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to take ownership of our AWS operations and engineering efforts—ensuring performance, security, and innovation across our cloud ecosystem. Our Cloud is pretty good, but it could be so much better!
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts
- Implement and maintain cloud-based applications and services
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Automate deployments and routine tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to improve cloud architecture
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements
- Lead disaster recovery planning and data backup strategies
- Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance to internal teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing AWS environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security (WAF)
- Proficiency with automation tools (CloudFormation, IaC)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a plus
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in AWS
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP)
