POSITION DESCRIPTION
Amideast/Egypt seeks to hire an Entrepreneurship Trainer. The goal of the program is to provide Egyptian youth with opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills in market-relevant STEM fields.
Responsibilities
Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create an Interview rubric related to STEM, Sustainability and entrepreneurship.
- Be a committee member for competition selection and interview different startups over 3 days.
- Evaluate and compare selection results, interview notes and scores with other panel members.
- Conduct a virtual Session using his/her own materials for shortlisted teams that have successfully passed the interview phase and provide bootcamp presentations. (3 hours)
- Provide mentorship to the shortlisted teams.
- Supply mock-pitch notes and recommendations for each team.
- Provide an end of report bootcamp report.
- Review and update the competitions’ rubrics needed for the competition day.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in education or related STEM/Sustainability field; master’s degree in education or related STEM/Sustainability field preferred.
- Experience implementing different STEM/Sustainability Competitions on the national/ international level.
- Entrepreneurial experience in mentoring and evaluating startups in competition context in terms of: sustainability, business development, market analysis, product analysis, marketing strategies, finance, investment and pitching.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
