Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of logistics operators/seniors (import & export), providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers, proactively addressing their needs, resolving any issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and shipping lines, proactively developing services/solutions that fit our customer base development.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations regarding shipping and freight forwarding.
- Train, mentor, and support team members to foster their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure compliance within the department.
Requirements
- High level of experience in freight forwarding (Dry, Reefer, and DG), with a strong understanding of customs procedures and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing a team, with excellent leadership and people management skills, and strong problems-solving acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of freight forwarding software and systems.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a drive to achieve targets and contribute to the growth of the department.
- Hands-on experience with logistics software and technology solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
