Role Purpose
ELV Solution Architect evaluates customer business needs and creates the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem whether computer systems, networks, hardware, and/or software.
Role Profile
- Understanding Business Problems, analysing and documenting them and translating/transforming them into technology solutions
- Lead architecture design discussions, reviews and recommendations to fulfil customer requirements and needs
- Design integrated ELV solutions including but not limited to: CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, BMS, Fire Alarm, IPTV, Structured Cabling, Intercom, etc.
- Create BOQs, system architecture diagrams, and solution documents.
- Develop cost-effective, scalable, and compliant technical proposals.
- Conduct detailed technical assessments of customer environments to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, project delivery, and procurement teams.
- Support smooth handover to implementation teams with proper documentation.
- Provide clarification on the design throughout the execution phase.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to proposal development.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, highlighting the value of proposed solutions.
- Respond to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, ensuring technical accuracy and competitive positioning.
- Act as a technical advisor for clients, building trust and understanding their long-term infrastructure needs.
- Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with implementation capabilities.
- Provide thought leadership by sharing insights on best practices and innovative approaches to infrastructure challenges.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and configuration specifications.
- Support the transition of projects from presales to delivery, ensuring a smooth handover.
Competencies and Qualifications
- +5 Years Experience as pre-sales/solution architect working with information security solutions and services.
- Engineering Bachelors Graduate
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems and integration.
- Ability to interpret MEP and ELV shop drawings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proposal and tendering experience.
- Strong documentation and BOQ preparation skills.
- Project estimation and value engineering capabilities.
- Customer-facing and consultative selling approach.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or equivalent design tools.
- Familiarity with ELV systems: CCTV, ACS, PAVA, FAS, SCS, MATV/IPTV, etc.
- Understanding of IP networking fundamentals and system integration.
- Ability to work with BMS, IoT, and Smart Building solutions is a plus.
- Vendor certifications (e.g., Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, Dahua, Cisco, etc.) preferred.
