Role reports to: Country Manager
Location: New Cairo
What you will do
The Head of Modern trade & Ecommerce is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of field sales staff, coaching on key competencies, assigning territories and quotas, monitoring results, and updating business plans:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales and maximize profitability in the modern trade and e-commerce channels
- Manage the distributor and the direct team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence and increase revenue
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create innovative campaigns and promotions to drive brand awareness and customer engagement
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure a competitive edge in the market
- Lead and mentor a team of field sales staff to achieve sales objectives and compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with global commercial, R&D, and supply chain teams to align on business goals and initiatives
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to make informed decisions on sales strategies
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure cost controls and alignment with business plans
- Drive capability development for the ecommerce channel and ensure continuous improvement in sales performance
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in modern trade and e-commerce sales management
- University/bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Business Administration or related field
- Proven track record of success in leading teams and achieving sales targets
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Experience in global process development and project management
- Ability to navigate in a highly matrixed environment and drive alignment with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve complex goals and objectives
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to utilize financial analyses for decision-making
- Commitment to mutual accountability and managing ambiguity
- Broad experience in base financial planning, costing principles, and budgeting
- In-depth knowledge of the modern trade and e-commerce landscape
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build partnerships internally and externally
