Job Summary
The Landscape Architect is responsible for:
- The efficient and timely preparation of accurate, high-quality Landscape Architecture drawings using the relevant software, for specific complex design projects, as directed by the Architecture Team Lead (Cairo)
- Coordination with of the drafting resources, and other resources required for completion of all drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
- Strong working knowledge of all required Landscape Architecture codes / standards, design and construction practices, and drawing practices for complex Landscape Architecture projects
Critical outcomes of this role include the production of accurate, timely and high-quality Landscape Architecture drawings for complex projects, and coordination of these drawings with all other required design disciplines such as architectural, structures, mechanical and electrical engineering, and quantity surveying.
The role requires building and maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders, other consultants, contractors, including coordinating with other design architects, engineers, Architecture Team Lead (Cairo), Design Director, and design managers to assist with submittal of overall project deliverables for concept, schematic, and detailed design stage submissions in line with planned project timelines.
Job Duties
For specific allocated projects, in coordination with the Architecture Team Lead (Cairo), manage, plan and carry out;
- Obtain all data and follow up with project managers, Architecture Team Lead (Cairo), other company staff, other consultants so that production of drawings, specifications and bills of quantities are completed in an accurate, timely manner, to the required quality,
- Establish and build professional relationships with other staff, other Consultants, contractors.
- Understand the project brief,
- Assist Architecture Team Lead (Cairo), other Engineering Designers with the preparation and implementation of the Project Landscape Architecture designs in coordination with the assigned project team,
- Participate in and contribute to value engineering exercises, and,
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and teams within ECEC and with 3 parties in relation to technical, financial, safety, quality, schedule and other elements of a project, so that accurate Landscape Architecture drawings, specifications and bills of quantities are produced.
Specifically, the Landscape Architect is responsible for:
- Implementing and updating specific and overall project Landscape Architecture designs, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities for multiple complex design projects and construction projects,
- Assists the Architecture Team Lead (Cairo) on matters that cross between interfacing elements, projects,
- Work proactively, constructively, and fairly with all parties to ensure the successful execution of duties, and,
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as directed, and as may be appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture,
- Registration with a recognized professional Institution (licensed to practice Landscape Architecture),
- Specific training & qualifications in Landscape Architecture including use of specific software,
Specific Skills Required
- Good level of competence in use of Revit, AutoCAD and other drafting software - preferred,
- Excellent working knowledge of internationally accepted Landscape Architecture, design industry principles and practices / safety / quality systems,
- Excellent knowledge of current Landscape Architecture design standards, including the Saudi Building Code,
- Able to work with minimal supervision,
- Excellent problem solving, numeracy and English literacy skills,
- Clear verbal and written communication skills,
- Uses diplomacy and tact in discussions with other parties,
- Contributes to team building and enhancing morale across the team / project,
- Promotes equality and recognises diversity in managing people,

Experience
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience working for design consultants on large complex design projects, and,
- Extensive previous Middle East experience in design and drafting using Revit and AutoCAD, is required.
Additional Comments
Candidates who can start in a short timeframe are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: E£35,000.00 - E£50,000.00 per month
