Job Objective
Play a crucial role in building and maintaining positive relationships between GEPD and patients and patient groups, ensuring patient-centricity and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement patient support programs, advocate for patient needs internally contributing to the overall success of the patient-focused initiatives
Key responsibility
Patient Advocacy:
- Build and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups and key opinion leaders to ensure a strong patient voice in decision-making processes.
- Represent the company at patient advocacy events, conferences, and industry forums to engage with patients and gain insights into their needs and concerns.
Patient Support Programs:
- Develop and implement patient support programs to enhance the overall patient experience, including access programs, education initiatives, and adherence support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integration of patient-centric initiatives into overall business strategies.
Internal Advocacy:
- Advocate for patient perspectives within the company, influencing decision-making processes and ensuring that patient needs are considered in product development, marketing and other business activities.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
-Stay current with industry regulations and guidelines related to patient interactions and communication.
- Ensure all patient-focused initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Communication:
-Develop and implement effective communication strategies targeting patients,
- Create educational materials, including brochures, websites, and other resources to support patient understanding of products and therapeutic interventions
Data Analysis:
- Utilize patient data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of patient programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Ethical and Social Responsibility:
- Plays a role in promoting the company's commitment to ethical business practices, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability and communicating these values for building trust with stakeholders.
Advocacy for Industry Issues:
- Participate in industry associations and advocacy groups to represent the pharmaceutical sector. This involvement allows them to collaborate on common issues, share best practices, and collectively address challenges faced by the industry.
- Engage with government officials, lawmakers, and regulatory agencies to advocate for policies that align with the company's interests.
Community Engagement:
- Supporting community health initiatives, participating in outreach programs, and ensuring that the company's activities align with the needs and values of the communities where it operates.
Patient Advocacy:
- Building positive relationships with patient advocacy groups is via engaging with these groups to understand patient needs, gather feedback, and collaborate on initiatives that improve patient outcomes and access to treatments.
Collaborations and partnerships:
- Establish partnerships with other pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.
- Actively engage in industry events, conferences, and forums to connect with key players, share insights, and stay informed about the latest developments.
- Actively engage and collaborate with local and international patient groups as WFH, IPOPI etc
Academic experience required
- Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science or medicine.
Professional Experience Required
- Proven experience in a patient affairs or related role within the pharmaceutical industry for a minimum of 10 years.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to patient interactions.
