Role Description
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeler to join our vibrant team!
As a Data Modeler, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end solutions by translating business requirements into robust data models and ensuring the quality and accuracy of data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis:
- Engage with stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document business requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses to verify data availability for identified use cases.
Data Modeling:
- Develop Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Dimensional Data Models using Erwin, adhering to industry best practices.
- Create detailed data mapping documentation for all data model attributes and be capable to execute on Snowflake.
Team Collaboration:
- Facilitate handover sessions with ETL, Testing, and BI teams to discuss business requirements, data models, and mapping documents.
- Provide continuous feedback and clarification throughout the development and testing phases.
Data Validation:
- Perform sample data validations to ensure the data behaves as expected post-development.
- Update and maintain documentation to reflect any modifications to mappings or data models.
Report Development:
- Oversee report creation by the BI team using Power BI, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Validate reports with stakeholders to confirm accuracy and relevance.
Ad Hoc Solutions:
- Address production issues and design ad hoc solutions as needed using SQL on Snowflake.
- Leverage a basic understanding of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for resolving data challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in data modeling with proficiency in Erwin.
- Strong SQL skills, with experience in Snowflake.
- Basic understanding of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Power BI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial industry or investment domain is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with the Teradata Reference Data Model, along with proficiency in Data Vault modeling.
Soft Skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving data-related challenges.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
