Overview of the role:
The Document Control Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective document control system to ensure the accuracy, quality, security, and compliance of all controlled documents across the organization. This role ensures that documentation processes support operational efficiency, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The Document Control Manager oversees the document lifecycle, from creation and revision through distribution, storage, and archiving, while leading a team to maintain timely access to accurate and up-to-date information for internal and external stakeholders.
What you will do:
- Establish, implement, and maintain a centralized document control system across all real estate development projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate flow of documents between internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Track, archive, and retrieve all project-related documents in accordance with company protocols and audit requirements.
- Maintain document control registers, logs, and reports to support project teams and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
- Ensure all documentation is properly reviewed, approved, and distributed based on established workflows and confidentiality protocols.
Required Skills to be successful:
Minimum 10 years of experience in document control, preferably within large-scale construction or real estate development environments.
What equips you for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Experience working with both contractors and consultants on large-scale projects & aware of the developer projects process.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, QA/QC procedures, and audit requirements in real estate and construction.
